ABOUT

The Goderich Yacht Club

The Goderich Yacht Club (GYC) has been in existence almost 60 years, starting out as the Goderich Sailing Club in the late 1960's at Snug Harbour in the main commercial basin of Goderich Harbour.

The original club was located in the then newly-renovated small boat harbour, revamped for the growing number of recreational boats that needed seasonal space and the ever increasing small boat traffic from other ports.

Today the club occupies the two

Maitland Valley Marinas and represents many of the boats in both the main basin and the nearby inlet marina. Countless other transient vessels visit from all over the Great Lakes to enjoy the beauty of Lake Huron and the Town of Goderich.

Over the years the GYC has developed into a socially-driven group of like-minded sailors and power boaters who look forward to the camaraderie of spending time with fellow boaters both on and off the water.
